Meet our Facilitators

BIOLOGY 205 - David Canseco-Vielma

Faculty Advisor: Tatiana Vasquez

About David: Hello biologists, my name is David Canseco and I will be your facilitator for this semester. Ever since I was a child my grandma taught me to love and respect all living creatures, over time that love turned into a passion and thankfully my future as well. Dogs are my preferred form of animal, mostly because I do not have room for more…yet. I eventually hope to have a home with enough space to raise a small group of animals like goats, sheep and maybe a cow or two.

Academically, I gravitated towards this field because of the versatility; you can work outdoors, or in a field, or in a classroom, the possibilities are many. I look forward to seeing many of you again this semester and seeing your sharper and better developed Biology skills. I also look forward to meeting the rest of you whom I have not met yet. I hope we can work together, and I hope to learn from you as we navigate the course. Personally, I love doing lab work and semester projects, I love reading your write ups, so I hope you come to me and share your work or ideas along the way. Email:

About Aryah: Hello everyone, I am Aryah Seraj, and I will be your Chemistry 151 facilitator. I have a deep passion for chemistry, and I love the different concepts presented. I also think there is just the right amount of math incorporated, which I love as well. I am graduating from San Bernardino Valley College with my AA degree in Biological and Physical Sciences this Spring 2022. However, I will still take courses at Valley over the next year. I am starting Cal State University San Bernardino in the Fall of 2022. I plan on majoring in chemistry, and once I graduate with my bachelor’s degree in 2024, I plan on applying to medical school. Chemistry 151 is definitely a tough course, but I am excited to help and create a good learning environment. With effort, great goals can be achieved! Email:
