Field Trips for Spring 2023

Cal Poly Pomona Campus Field Trip - Friday, March 31 - Visit a local top-ranked university campus. Tour the Ethnobotany Learning Center, Mesozoic Garden, Project Blue, and see endangeed walnut woodland while earning credit for your clas, club or program. For more information please click here: Cal Poly Field Trip Info. Bus will depart campus from Parking Lot #4 (at Esperanza Street) at 9:15 am and return to campus by 2:30 pm. Getty Center - Wednesday, April 5 - 10:00 am-5:00 pm

Joshua Tree National Park - Saturday, April 22 - 8:00 am-6:00 pm

Crystal Cove State Park and Upper Newport Bay - Friday, April 28 - 8:00 am-5:00 pm

UC Riverside Campus & Botanic Gardens Field Trip - Friday, May 5 - 9:00 am-5:00 pm

Frontier Project & Cucamonga Valley Water Treatment Tour - Monday, May 8 - 8:15 am-12:15 pm

Downtown Los Angeles - Thursday, May 11 - 9:00 am-6:00 pm

 

Field Trip Departure and Return Locations:

  • Buses will pick up and drop off students along Esperanza Street, in the vicinity of student parking lot 4. This is the north side of the SBVC Campus.
  • Vans will pick up and drop off students in student parking lot 5.
  • Students will depart from and return to the San Bernardino Depot Metrolink Station for the Metrolink/MTA field trip.

 

What Should Students Bring?

  • Students should wear comfortable clothes and shoes, as we will be outside for at least a portion of the field trip. Please monitor the weather forecast, as umbrellas may also be necessary.
  • Some field trips involve more walking than others. When students sign up for the field trips, they will receive additional information.
  • Students should bring their own lunch and drinks for all-day field trips.
